titanium alloys in the aerospace industry

Manufacture of titanium, its production cycle starts from raw material processing and ends up with realization of high value-added finished products.

Titanium alloys are mainly used for the production of aircraft and engine components, such as forged titanium fan blades, compressor discs and blades, engine housings, exhaust systems, and structural frameworks, such as aircraft bulkheads.

Titanium alloys with high specific strength, corrosion resistance and low temperature characteristics are used for the production of various pressure vessels, fuel tanks, fasteners, instrument belts, frames and rocket housings for spacecraft.

Artificial satellites, lunar modules, manned spacecraft, and space shuttles also use welded components made from titanium alloy sheets.
